Motorcoach Interior Technician

Overview: The Motorcoach Interior Technician plays a key role in maintaining the comfort, appearance, and functionality of our fleet. This position requires a strong background in carpentry or custom woodworking, with responsibilities ranging from repairing and restoring seats, paneling, and flooring to installing trim, upholstery, and built-in fixtures. In this role, attention to detail and craftsmanship are essential. The Interior Technician not only ensures that our coaches remain in top condition but also contributes to the overall travel experience of our passengers. Working collaboratively with the maintenance team, this position upholds Abbott Bus Lines’ high standards of quality, reliability, and customer service.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of carpentry or woodworking experience (motorcoach, RV, or custom interior experience preferred).
  • Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment
  • Solid understanding of measuring, cutting, shaping, and finishing materials
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, repair, and restore bus interiors, including seats, trim, flooring, doors, and paneling.
  • Install and modify built-in furniture, shelving, and storage solutions.
  • Design, build, and install custom cabinets, molding, and other interior features.
  • Perform upholstery work for seating, wall coverings, and other soft materials.
  • Install flooring, lighting fixtures, TVs, and additional built-in equipment.
  • Accurately measure, cut, and shape materials to specifications.
  • Collaborate with other technicians to complete repair projects efficiently.

Physical Requirements
